So I have been waiting for this for years and it finally happened. I had the SB Studio years ago and the one thing I always missed about it was the flexibility of routing options depending on preset. I used the Studio with a clean boost in front and while that worked, the tone colorization was pretty bad. Again, I was using it as it wasnt really intended but I couldnt get away from the options.

After the Studio the GL was released but I was already using Bradshaw and RJM interfaces. Thought of trying the GL but I had heard there were issues with headroom, and I was happy with what I had at the time. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and found out the E.T. was released which addresses all the issues people had with the GL. I can honestly say I dont hear any tone color with this unit and you now have control of Line/Instrument level for each individual loop.
The Firmware in this is pretty new and a few hiccups here and there, but nothing to cause alarm and so far its been stable once you get past setting things up.

Built in Smart Insert lets you control any device within a preset to turn the loop on or off. The "Smart" part automatically routes things together when you pull a loop out of the chain and pieces it together. This all works instantly with no lag or dropout. Total game changer for the heart of the rig. Ken really hit it out the park with this one. Expensive, but once you use it its hard to go back.
