Hey guys, I would like to build a small pedalboard control with a switcher. Don't know much about that else than the voodoo lab ground control pro. I would like a simple solution not too expensive, I only have 5 pedals and a midi rack mount. Amp have 2 chanels and would need to change it with the controler. It would be nice to be able to make some presets. What would you recommand.

Thanks

Boss ES-5 ? or MS-3 and You can try substitute some analog pedals with it.

I use a Boss ES-5 for mostly what you are describing and it works perfectly. I use it to switch the channels on my 5153, switch the effects loop on/off, and control a G-Major 2 that runs in the amps effects loop. I run the ES-5 in front of the amp with 3 different boosts in the ES-5's loops for added flavor. It's simple to program and for the price the features are hard to beat.

Some of the One Control loop switchers have loops in line, and isolated loops for the fx loop/channel switching, etc. & midi. I love mine. 5 loops in front, and one isolated for the fx loop. Tuner/mute too. I sold my GCX/Ground Control+ Rack to go back to a pedalboard w/switcher

I would suggest you a Ground Control Pro with the GCX Switcher. All your analog and digital pedals and all your analog and digital rack effects goes into the Rack. Short cables, less headache, more flexibility for future, more bang for the buck.

There are many devices that can get you where you want to go. I have been researching this same topic for months now. It depends on how many loops you need and what is in front of the amp as well as in the loop etc. Boss ES5 does sound perfect for your application. RJM stuff is great too. Even the Moen GEC8 Live is cool as well.

Ive been running an ES8 with much better than expected results. Will run multiple heads, switch channels in them, switches quietly and has held up really well. I think the ES5 is the same thing with less loops
