Synergy DS module, P90's, Redbacks and a Camera

Got to turn this up a good bit today. I am really digging the DS module. Wish I had my Dirty Shirley to compare it to, but alas...

Anyway, I am using my Redback loaded Boutique cab. Just the Rode mic on my camera for audio. I think this LP is my all-time favorite guitar.

A coupe things, the PS100 is damn loud! LOL! The unit definitely has more punch than I remember the PS1 having. The DS module alone was worth getting into the Synergy setup. The BMan... I hate on it's own but it rips with a boost. Tried bot modules with my Fortin modded Maxon. Absolutely killer.

I'll do a proper playthrough of these but since real demos are done with iPhones or cameras, here we are!

Sounds more raw and more gain than the BE... I told myself I didn't need anymore modules but maybe just maybe I will give this feller a whirl and waste 600$ more CAD...I'm already on a roll converting my acoustic drum kit into a hybrid kit with DIY E cymbals so the wallet is already open..

Man all I know is that for my first time trying the Synergy stuff and ordering on a whim, it kills! I didn't bother looking at the BE/HBE modules since I have a BE-100. I am really looking into the Powerball and Uber modules.

Get the Powerball next. Out of all the clips of the diff modules I have heard, if I were to get another high gainer, that would be it. Some of them lean too much towards that compressed gain sound. The powerball sounds like it keeps it's definition to me.

Yeah Pete Thorn and Ola's demos were really excellent. I kind of want the 800 module. It's got a High Gain mode plus my power amp has 6550's... maybe it could be a poor mans KK800! LOL!

I am working on some vids of the DS today. I boosted the BMan module and it kinda ripped! HATE it for rainy (even low gain) on it's own though...

I guess the B-Man is essentially like playing a Fender so when pushed it is going to have a bit more bloat and be a little looser. The 800 module sounds too gained out to me compared to the real deal. The REAL gem is the plexi to my ears. I don't need it now that I have a Bugera 1960 head but it does a great dimed out and + Plexi on steroids. I feel they missed the boat on making one channel do more of the lower gain clean chime but for what it is, it has "that" tone. The modules are always going to be slightly diff though. For example, the BE/BB I have I find is a bit undergained on the BE side. I am guessing that just on BE mode, your amp has enough gain on tap without any boosts?

Yeah my BE does just fine without any boosts.

I am trying to see if I can get some demo units from Synergy to check out.

Yeah buddy! I am finishing my full mix clip for the "metal" portion of my Mezzabarba vids. I wrote a full on homage to King/Andy. I am just going to say, I am impressed with myself on this one! LOL!

Right on! Andy is a huge Influence for me too..like an undermentioned old school guitar hero with riffs for days, Insane lead breaks and that signature siren whammy bar ping he does. He carried the crappier KD albums for sure. Not one lead was ever lousy or mailed in.

You should get the HBE and let me know how it compares I just got my KSR PA50 yesterday and its got me thinking of ways to downsize without really downsizing.

Man maybe I'll grab one for science... to compare to my BE-100. That KSR power amp is great. I did a vid on art at NAMM and it was killer. He's making a rack version which I will buy for sure.
