How do they compare to the Tungsol EL-34B ?

I'm pretty sure these are Chinese and are the same as the Ruby EL34B-STR.

I have the TAD version pictured in my BE-100. They were the stock tubes and they sound very good.

I can't compare them to the ones in question. But I have used two quads of the TAD so far and been happy with them

I have a Jmp Gower modded these sounded great but I liked the winged-C better.

AFAIK, They are rebranded shuguang, chinese el34's. These came stock in my 2203x that I had years ago. Very reliable but I thought they sounded a little 6l6 ish compared to winged C or JJ.

Made in China. Probably the better production EL34 going right now. Same filament as the Ruby equivalent, but with thicker glass. And, these TAD's have the large OD pin instead of the slim ones. TAD has always been a cut above in culling for QC. The special tube request series handles higher plate voltages well.

When you say "large OD pin" what is that ? Thats not the keyway is it ? Will these fit in any standard Octal base ?
