Yeah that's pretty brutal. that said, I don't know the genre very well but she is pretty unique in terms of how she raps or word slings and her other songs are horrible except for the odd rap. I hear her a lot on the radio and she also has good range in her voice so there is def. worse out there. The title of this song and the content is ridiculous but I guess she could say Steel Panther is pretty ridiculous ... the music biz is a strange one indeed..

I got nothing other then that video almost made me have a seizure :D

Todays pop music is all about the short attention span crowd. Much of it sucks, but it will be gone in a month and the next piece of junk will be force fed to us.

ha! hilarious. it's blatantly obvious that song and video are tongue-in-cheek. She has a sense of humor at least. I also really like how they shot it so each scene resembles a still photo shoot. Kinda cool.

I listen to metal and hard rock. But I like a lot of rap, r&B, hip-hop and dance tunes out there. She's got talent, no doubt. Is it the best thing out there? Maybe not. But it definitely a change of pace. Honestly, I like the "stop taking shit so seriously" way pop music has gone lately. It's refreshing to just not give a shit about it. It's a good tune in my book.

I think she's hilarious like I think LMFAO is hilarious.

I dig all kinds of music and think there is good and bad in everything. IMO this is just bad but thats just my view. I dig some Kanye, Pink, Gaga and Tupac and several others when the talent is there, I am just not getting this at all but more power to her for selling it I guess.

There's a LOT of this out there nowadays... It's definitely nothing I would listen to, or even give a second glance, but as mentioned above, it appeals to the ADD and ADHD populous, and the crotch grabbing, white-trash, black-rap-wannabe 15 year old boy crowd. I will say, there's a lot of leg in the vid, and that too is what sells this vid. But overall, dime a dozen, and I found it semi epileptic to watch. She's at least mocking herself, but this is almost like TV taking the reality show plunge but in a musical context

I posted that in a thread the other day using that video as the shit meter as to what's out there It totally sucks! I don't care or want to hear it about people's opinions on this matter. If someone likes "that" then they have ZERO ear for talent and they have no fucking clue what music is. This is shit, plain and simple.

And that chicks ass is freaking HUGE.

I fully understand the tongue-in-cheek aspect of this song/video but I don't think it is blatantly obvious to the majority of listeners. And that's where it's unfortunate. Not that others will take the song too seriously but they won't comprehend the satire I believe she is trying to portray. Also, I think it is amazing that this kind of music is the mainstream. I can see it existing and people enjoying it too but really, it's the popular music of today...? Funny to think into the future. You know, grandparents listen to the music they grew up on. There are going to be 90 year olds with their grandkids over, showing them the music they used to listen to. I'm 23, hopefully my grandkids will appreciate me showing them music from before I was born and the few things that are good now.

Just realized that this video was posted on the 20th and has over 20 million views

Again, I understand why some people might enjoy this but really, it's that popular!??? Not that I enjoy it too much (it's pretty decent in my book) but Van Halen's "Tattoo" which has been out twice as long (posted on the 10th) has 3 million views. Just to put it in perspective...

Decline of western civilization has commenced...er, has accelerated.

Kill it all....Kill it all with fire.....napalm !!!!!!!!!!

i can't bring myself to opening those vids.
my 13 yr old daughter bought this cd recently and i figured it would be really lame, but i have to admit for a teeny bopper deal this little girl can actually sing pretty nicely even amidst the antares generation. this YT audio clip has been pitch altered slightly higher so it wouldn't get pulled for copyright but you get a taste of what she can do

i don't mind listening to this in the car.

my sons like rap/tupac, me not so much, and after meeting him and working with him let's say i wasn't a fan of his lifestyle. i did get to hear an unreleased track he was working on, covering an isley brothers song, that was pretty decent. and my boys think i'm cool for hanging with him so that's fun for them.
