To be fair, I think guitarists like Tim Henson, Ichika Nito and Yvette Young deserve the hype, these are Asian guitarists who started super young and likely had their fingers beaten to start playing professionally trained classical pieces before they even hit puberty....

These guitarists are frowned on by fans of the most technical guitarists of the 80's but yet these modern kid guitarists blow those hair metal guitar gods away in every inch.

I'm excited to see what guitarists play like 3 generations down the road... if I even live that long.

Tbh I see your point but I can't tell you how many people like Polyphia's playing god until they see the musicians playing it. To me, they don't look gay or feminine at all but I have seen many claiming that Tim looks transgender.. I always found it strange since Led Zepplin, QUEEN, Prince, and Elton John (and every hair metal band) are touted for being masterclass yet 70's/80's bands are far more feminine and a symbol for the gay communities moreso than any band today.

I guess my point is that (based on age) nostalgia is usually king. Some tend to dismiss things of our era just because some grew up in it or have gone memories. I try to avoid that, that said, I love all those groups/artists I mentioned
