Mint condition Marshall DSL 1OOHR offered to me locally for $600. Grab it? Or completely redundant because I have a Marshall JVM 410H? Any and all thoughts appreciated.

It's a going rate. Go and play it. I'd take the cash and put it toward a Larry though.

I thought the "HR" suffix was added for the Asian made heads. A JCM2000 DSL would be worth it (depending on the bias drift issue), but the DSL100HR wouldn't.

Remember the LA fires, keep only your best stuff, and save your $600. Good to see you around angelspade I hope you are well brougham.

It might it might be redundant with your JVM. I say that because I don't have the desire to get a JVM because I've got a JCM2000 DSL. I've played the new DSLs, most if not all versions, heads and combos, and they're good sounding. I've played a few JVMs, too, and they're great, but I just like what my JCM2000 is giving me enough that I don't feel the need for both.

YMMV, of course, but I'd be looking at the 2000s if you want a DSL. They're not too much over $600 if you look long enough.

The new DSLs are $950 CAD and sell used for $500-$700 CAD.
After buying a my DSL50 with a negative feedback mod I don't think I could play a DSL amp without one.

I have a DSL40CR 1x12 combo. Very pleased with it...and my Origin 50C 1x12 combo. For the price, I think they're worth it, and sound good to me.

Also have other 100W Marshall's and Marshall-esque EL34 amps (Engl and Bogner) so no need for a DSL 100; my DSL40CR and Origin 50C aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Just make sure it's not one of the muddy ones. Those DSL100's can vary a bit. The original JCM2000 version was my amp for over a decade. I personally think you're not missing anything with already having the JVM.
