I've never played a guitar with one before and i'm curious if they are worth the investment or any attention? I was listening to some Petrucci the other day which reminded me about them, but I have no idea whether they would be for me or not. What are your experiences with them? Pros? Cons? Thanks in advance! Cheers,

Anyone? No responses is not usually a good sign for a product lol

I have a Lifeson Axcess that has the Graphtech Ghost system in it, which I think does a really convincing acoustic sound. I was not a fan of blending them with the mag pickups, plus the way it was wired from the factory, the mag pickup signal still went through the circuit board even when the piezos were off. Ended up rewiring to totally separate the two, and really enjoy using either/or.

I had a late 90s USA Parker Nitefly like the one below. The piezo sounded really good! As in, one day at church this Taylor acoustic snob got upset because my guitar sounded better through the PA. A lot of it had to do with being better at setting the eq though.

I never gelled with it as an electric guitar. To me it sounded like an acoustic guitar with electric pickups added on if that makes sense. Didn't love the neck either.

That said, this sure makes me miss it. Playing acoustic and then bringing the electric pickups in and out sounded HUGE!

They can be really great if you do an EQ match with a real miced acoustic guitar. (in something like the axe-fx)

Put that in parallel with the direct sound and some EQ,Verb and it can sound awesome!
