The demo of that pedal is unfair. It almost forces you to buy it - it has so many cool options in a small box. Amazed that it's under $200.

I have a feeling it will be one of those pedals with a bunch of good sounds but no great ones. I could be wrong but none of the other lower priced TC ones did anything for me.

Have you tried the El Cap?

Demo's on that sound killer, but I choke a little on the $300 price tag

Soooo, what's the difference between the Flashback and the Nova delay which they've had out? Or, for all you guys lining up for the new Flashback, what didn't the Nova do?

Never tried the Nova, but I liked the small and (relatively) cheap part of the Flashback :D

Glad you guys are liking the Flashback. I was doing the pedal demos at NAMM for TC and the whole toneprint line is pretty cool.
I don't think it's been touched on yet but here are some other features: looper is 42 secs, has kill dry function, true-bypass (the buffer can be turned on if you want),
and, of course, the ability to upload custom toneprints from the website.

I really liked the MOD delay setting it's great for U2, Floyd, The Police, Cathedral etc.

Danyeo, the Nova delay/Repeater are nice pedals too...the flashback is another delay option with smaller footprint, easy to dial in (for people that dont want to program stuff),
lower pricepoint , has the looper function and the toneprints.

Cheers,
Russell

It is a really cool pedal, for low dough...

easily best delay for the dough! better than most delays i have played, that is quite a few, but this one is so easy to use, and the delays in it are just great! the modulation delay, amazing!! same with the 2290!

the elcapistan is definately cool, but this is almost half the cost of the el cap, got mine 160 out the door, and the flashback is super versatile. perhaps the el cap can do an echoplex a wee bit better than the flashback, dont know, but at 160, i will take the flashback over the el cap, the flashback SOUNDS AMAZING, TC are a quality fx maker, they release stuff that is top notch.

Josh, the El Cap is the shit. Next time I head on out that way, I will take it. The Flashback is worth $160 just for the looper.

put down an order =0 hopefully here before the weekend,

see if it replaces my CC , which i might sell thereafter

The El Capistan will be tough to beat for a a while, $300.00 really isn't that much considering the sonic goodness that oozes out of that grey box. I will most likely try a Flashback for the hell of it, it does look cool and you can play The Edge songs with it and I saw Doug Aldrich using it in a video with a tubby bottom and fuzzy tone. I'm just not going to get all crazy and pace back and forth and in a circle waiting to get one. I'd be filled with happiness and joy if the flashback outperforms my trusty old DD-2's, that's what I'm hoping for.

So, ya like things that ooze do ya! :scared:

Im just looking for a cheap delay pedal to replace my 1989 DD3 pedal take to gigs with me. My trusty boss pedal is starting to fade lol. My stripped down rig is nothing more then a chorus pedal, delay pedal, Wet Reverb and I don't need anything fancy otherwise Id be all over the El capistan.

I want to try this Flashback too, the El Capistan may be a bit too big for flyaway gigs, may need a road case for it.

Can't hurt!! :D

only that Tom always sounds like he's playing through a Rockman
That's because tone is in the fingers.

maybe the clever quips can be put in the thread without the endless quotations....sort of kills the topic
I'm interested in the TC delay; would like to hear more!
