Tech 21 Paul Landers Fly Rig into Fryette PS-2 makes for a great Foo Fighters tone

A short demo of the Tech 21 Paul Landers FlyRig, a really nifty piece of gear that is the signature pedal of one of the German band Rammstein's guitarist.



For the demo, I ran the pedal into a Fryette PS-2 and then into an Orange 2x12 cab. Guitar was an ESP RZK-II, the signature model of Rammstein's other guitarist, Richard Z Kruspe. Entire setup was miced up with a Zoom H4 Essential and a Townsend Labs Sphere.

What else can I say but fun!

Sounds great! I had a Tech-21 pedal (can't remember which one) but just couldn't get it to work with my setup at the time.

Sounds great! I had a Tech-21 pedal (can't remember which one) but just couldn't get it to work with my setup at the time.

Don't know why this is the first time I tried it through a power amp. I was always running it direct using the XLR or TS outputs straight into my computer.

When I dialled it in on the Fryette though and heard it on the Orange cab, it was the first time I thought, "Hey, now I know why it was used on the Rammstein album Sehnsucht (allegedly)."

Sounds legit.
