I just bought a 1985 Marshall JCM 800 2210 100 watt which has 5 filter caps and a transformer choke.
I was looking on line at another 2210 JCM 800 100 watt made after mine and it had 3 filter caps and from the pics looked to have NO choke...
I know Marshall chopped down the filter cap count as time went on, but I did not think they skimped on the chokes though on the later JCM 800 2210 100 watters...
Does it really make a differnce over all?
How much more mojo might mine have over a newer one with out a choke, etc.?
