That`s pretty frikkin cool!.. But it seems it`s quite a bit more expensive from Germany.

OUCH!!
It`s almost 3000 NOK more from Germany :aww:

(475$)

I prefer strats, I think they are more versatile, I like the contour of the body better.

I like Tele's too, but never really felt the need to own a traditional double single coil Tele.

I sure see alot more strats around than teles, not sure if that says anything either way, but the Strat does seem to be a bit more popular....

There's something really fun about a good tele.

I like tele's better - they feel more comfortable than strats, seems easier to play tele's above the 15th fret - with the strat I feel those frets are too close to my body and my hand doesn't go up there as easy.

+1

Hey Ed. I figured you would chime in. Well I never really use the trem on my Strat. If I'm wanting to do some whammy stuff I bust out the floyd loaded BC Rich.

I do struggle to get above the 15th fret effectively on my Strat. Maybe the Tele would be a cure for that. They had a cheap import Tele that was great to play but weighed a ton so I never bought it.

tele = bawls, sustain, awesome bridge pickup, indestructable

strat = more polite, touch more versatile, awesome neck pickup

you needs one of each.
As for versatility...Tele with middle pup and mini bucker!

What's the issue about the 15th fret? Smacking the back of your fingers into the horn?

I've owned both a tele and a strat, and I much preferred the tele. That said I just ordered a new strat from MF w/ their 20% off deal going on right now. Its a fixed bridge model, so I'm much more comfortable with the bridge. I guess I just hate trems.

I'm not the one your talking too, but I'll tell you my answer :D . With a strat it feels like the guitar is always moving to the right - when I go high on the neck, my body (not guitar body, my actual human body) is in the way of my arm and I have to slide the guitar left to access the higher frets.

I think its because of that contour, makes the back of the guitar so thin and flush against your body :(

Well they didn't really have a ton of Am made Fenders. They had about 8 usa Strats and 5 USA Teles. One had decent tone but it was in chrome red. Just doesn't strike me as a "tele color". They had an interesting one but hardly traditional... 2 hums, a sweet flame top, iced tea finish, all contoured. But at the end of it all nothing floored me. I wish they still had that Am Dlx Strat in tangerine. Thats thing was fantastic. Regrets...

We should do a poll to see what people own more of and which is more popular. Seems like most people in this thread prefer a tele.....
