What Customer Service Is All About !!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Little backround first.......I recently bought an amp off Birds and Moons from Tom (aka: Guitarfool) I went out on a limb as the amp was from a small custom builder that I'd never heard of. I liked the looks (PURPLE) and the sound clips IMHO were pretty straight forward and sounded great! For the money I couldn't pass on an all handwired, eyelet board, all tube EL34 amp.

The deal was done....amp shipped to me and all was well. I plugged in the tubes, gave it power and wow....what a steal !!! I goofed around with the amp , twitling and turning knobs, different cabinets and guitars. I couldn't get a bad tone out of it. Great cleans all the way to high gain 80's hotrodded Marshalls. The amp was lightweight...small boxed (actually the same exact size as my K-55 Rivera Knucklehead) Perfect!!! Again I scored!!!!! It's a keeper!!! I then quickly got back on TGP as Woody (aka: GuitarCrazy) had a matching (PURPLE) PortCity OS 1X12 unloaded cab for sale. Since the amp was a keeper I needed a cab to match! I PayPal Woody the money and I'm smiling, who wouldn't??? A great amp and cab for under a grand shipped!!! All I needed was a 12" speaker! No worries......

I went back out to try a different guitar....The amp sounded great for about 10 mins....Then the volume faded to "0". It came right back on after acouple seconds....hmmmmm weird??? Then it did it again. Shut down time.... I check the cables....nope....checked the fuses....nope... Checked the tubes.....UTOH they weren't lit. Dam.....what did I do? It wasn't the sellers fault....the amp worked when I got it....it was well packed. Breathe......it can be fixed.

The next day I call the amp builder and left him a message, that I had bought one of his amps used and was having problems. I then went to send him an e-mail saying the same thing. Before I could push the send button my phone was ringing. I picked up and started explaining what was going on with the amp. He had me check a couple things and pull some tubes, cycle the amp on and tell him what I was seeing. The outcome....Send him the amp....I'll figure it out and take care of it. Monday....UPS showed up...off the amp went to Kansas. Friday afternoon the amp arrives and today I got an e-mail saying it was what he suspected it to be....an internal wire to one of the tube heaters had internally broken. He repaired it....re-enforced it and it will ship back to me on Monday !!! He even went thru the whole amp and rebiased it for me.

The point I'm trying to get across here is that in today's world it is a rarity to recieve customer support like this. Add to the fact that I'm NOT really his customer, as I bought it used.... it just floored me.

Had a Snott Watt for awhile. He builds great amps. Good quality. Very nice guy also !

well if hes in kansasn that would be a good deal thats where I live:)

He is.....and the only reason I got rid of serial #000001 M60 is because I was BEGGED!!!

It's the only amp I've owned for longer than a year.

I've actually owned it for nearly two; that in itself is a miracle.

Dave is in the top three individuals with the best customer service and best product out of anyone out there.

I've owned over 30 amps since 2008; my Baron K2 is one of the few truly incredible guitar heads I've heard in my life.

the baron stuff is great.... killer tone, and sound clips do the amps no justice. you cant go wrong with anything built by baron
