Got this last week from a good friend at a great price! Sounds killer, Thought I'd take some pics and let the experts tell me about this amp!

The sticker on the backpanel says its model M 2100 MV, and the sticker on the inside says 50watt Master Vol Combo

Never heard of a 2100. Heres the pics!

What's with the wooden naked mannequins? Nevermind... I'm not going ask.

haha, thought someone would comment, my mom is working on a life size bronze statue..thats how it starts out.

One of your pics shows the serial number very clearly there so I'm sure somebody will tell you the year just going off of that. To me it looks like a normal JMP 50 master volume model from the mid 70's or so. If it was a combo I don't see any evidence of that. But I guess somebody could put a new faceplate on it that faces the other way so all the words face the right way but I don't think that this was ever a combo IMO, all the lettering on the back faces the right direction too. HOW Much did you pay? It's a killer amp!

Looks like an early master volume JMP 2204 to me. I believe the "J" on the serial signifies a production date of 1977.

1977. All original, down to the power tubes. Caps and iron are original and no mods, except for the fan and peep holes to view the tubes.

I would break up that brown men orgy in the background, some men here may get the wrong idea about you and offer to be friends with you..................

It's a JMP 2204 with the wrong model # sticker on it (bet it says 2204 under it)....I'm 99.99% sure the headshell is not original for a 77 issue...looks to have some type of mod (other than the fan of course) due to that thick black wire that does not seem to be stock. The 2100's are rare and far an few between and were a combo amp if memory serves (Except the JCM900's   ) Also....tubes would not be original (sorry Steve :D ) to a 77 2204 that would have been loaded w/6550's and looks to be the case with the piggy backed resistor on the bias circuit...anyways..all I got

lol....

No shit, orignal power tubes? I've never seen a shortbox JMP w/ gold piping before, So I was curious, then the combo sticker on the inside made me more curious.

It may have well been a combo..The chassis were one in the same either a head or combo.....so..yeah...it started life as a combo

Looks like a JTM45 headshell??

Yeah the white inspection sticker will say combo right on it, on the top.

yeah it does say combo. Prolly a 77 combo in a 1987 headshell then?

Anyone chime in about what might be modded?

Other than the EL34 conversion and fan...it may not be modded but that big black wire looks suspect of one maybe?? Or maybe they just replaced the wire?? not sure? is that pink wire between the mid and treble pot disconnected and floating in space or is that just a bad camera angle??

the pink wire is connected, is the black wire you are talking about the one that goes from V1 to the Volume pot?

Oddly enough the fan isn't even hooked up, looks like you gotta use an extension cord to run it

Carol is written in magic marker on the circuit board..haha. wtf

I was thinking it might be some sort of N.A.M.B.L.A. statue..............and that IS how it starts out!

No idea about the black wire, but it looks pretty much stock besides the EL34 conversion and a replaced bias cap
