Basic workhorse but nothing spectacular.

I thought it could get you through a gig, but other than that kinda sucked. Could have needed new power tubes though, but was very underwhelmed by it.

Pretty much this. It sounds like a slightly modded JCM800 to me. It doesn't have tons of gain, but it sounds great boosted.

Well, pretty much, yeah. I'd say it's worth picking one up used if you wanna try it. I almost bought one myself.

Also check out the Vh100r, it's the 100 watt, 2 channel equivilent. Great amp. Andy Timmons used Laneys for a while, that says alot, to me anyway.

I had a GH50L for a while. Got it used for $165. The cleans are pretty good, and does have a bit of a modded Marshall thing going on, but if your looking for a modern high gain tone, I'd look somewhere else.
