i'm currently looking at getting a Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus pedal.
i love Voodoo's products and the clips for this thing sound fantastic, the only thing is, is it really worth the $170??

got one you think i should check out instead??

I like the Boss CE20 - can run at line level, so you can put it in the loop where it belongs. For a stomp box level chorus, I really like the digitech chorus factory.

Bang for the buck the Chorus Factory is very good imo.

Boss Dimension C if you have around $160-200, swimming pool type chorus.

I like the DLS chorus-vibe. And I also have the Voodoo labs and it does a very nice job.I would watch ebay they somtimes go on there for a pretty price. ;)

That's was ment to say pretty resonable price...It's been a long DAY .:)

I love my T.C. SCF+. Listen to any EJ and you'll hear what it does. You can find them on ebay for around $130.

sorry, but is that TC electronics? i'm not familiar with that pedal

+1 for a MIJ Boss CE-2. This pedal is the epitome of analog BBD chorus tone. Warm, smooth, shimmery, awesome.

I've had mine beautifully rehoused in a tall MXR size box, with switchcraft jacks, in sky blue, and True Bypassed.

Best chorus ever. Even though its mono...

(I'm actually having him rehouse my EVH too, in an orange box, so that they "match"...)

not exactly a pedal, but:

Boss RCE-10 Digital Chorus Ensemble, half rack, 9V.

Sounds closer to the jazz Chorus than most things, plus, it does uber-wet 80's style unlike the CH1.

It's stereo

it does line level or Instrument.

It daisy-chains other 9V stuff.

It costs <$50

It fuckin' rules. seriously. I use it in loop 5 of my 2290.

Boss's half rack space units they used to make, were killer!! I still use the SE-70 in my main rig and it only cost me £90

Id love to grab the RCE-10 sometime!

T C electronics, best I've ever heard  And I have heard most of them

I have a Maxon CS-9pro and a Jacques Meistersinger. I like both of them, but if I have to pick one it would be the Meistersinger. I use the CS-9pro on my gigging rig.

For the Money the Arion Chorus and Ibanez bi-mode chorus are nice choices.

Keep in Mind Chorus is a very personal effect, lots of widely varying opinions, more so than other effects. For example the DLS Chorus-Vibe was recommended in this thread and I disliked mine. It had a digital sound that I just couldn't dial out. After I bought it I listened back to the clips and I could hear it there too. I contacted DLS for some settings and was able to minimize it, but it still didn't meet my expections or live up to the Ibanez CS-9 I used to have. The thing is most people like the DLS Chorus-Vibe.

I have an old school Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus, the big 18v metal version, killer chorus IMHO. Not to spendy either.

+1

Exactly. Will color you sound just fine and this thing is CHEAP. Are you gonna use some chorus in every tune you play? Don't think so. Spending $160 on a chorus pedal you might use 3 or 4 times is insane to me.

There's one on ebay for $42 right now.
