The Warehouse speakers have recently got a Swedish distributor and I'm thinking of testing a pair...

Basicaly I'm a hard rock/metal kind of guy and I like both Celestion V30's and G12T-75's. I've had a lot of different 4x12" cabinets and I currently use a JCM900 1960B cab with mid 80's G12T-75's. Nowadays I seem to play most with my Mesa Roadster head in band situations and the 75's is a little to scooped in the mid for my taste.

I've heard/read alot about the Veteran 30's and the ET65. But what about the Retro 30 and Reaper speakers, have anyone tried them?

As long as we're on the topic of speakers; If I would like to replace my Marshall 1960 with a higher quality cab what would give me most bang for the buck? Mesa cabs are a bit to overprized here in Sweden (well basically in the EU), and I can actually get a Bogner or Diezel cab for less.

As I wrote earlier my main amp is a Roadster and a play mostly metal with guitars in drop-D or drop-C tuning and I like tight lows, roaring mids and pretty open highs without "icepicking".

I have a pair of WGS ET-65's and a pair of WGS green Beret's. I have also played through a Veteran 30. The WGS speakers don't seem to have the celestion sizzle, which can be a good or bad thing. They seem built well, although the speaker frame does seem to be a lower gauge metal than what Celestion uses.

I think a mix of ET-65's and Veteran 30's would suit you very well....

I agree with that. I haven't tried the WGS version of Celestions 75 watter, but I've tried both WGS versions of the Vintage 30. The Veteran 30 is softer and darker with less of that mid "spike" the Vintage 30s are known for. The Retro 30 is faster and tighter than both the Veteran and the Vintage and brings back some of the highs the Veteran lacks. However it has even less of that "spike" and is less like the Vintage 30 than the Veteran. Having said all that I like the Retro the best out of all the WGS line.
