Should be some nice new gear days coming sooner than later... Thanks to this place, my shopping list has grown longer and more costly. :D
Oops! Forgot the short list!

Either a Suhr Pro M1 or M2, or an S6. Maybe an Anderson Drop-Top. Perhaps an Adrian Smith Jackson. Maybe ALL THREE!!!

I also want a Krank Nineteen80 and either a Suhr PT or OD of some flavor. The MakoPlex and a Baron are also tempting.

:lol: :LOL: No, she was well warned ahead of time about my condition. She's a good sport about it, too. I had to replace the windows and siding on the house before I could look at anything new. I finished that up in three weeks at the beginning of the year, money (or lack thereof) has been the only thing slowing me down. She just doesn't get the 'need' for more stuff.

It was a big chunk of change, but the best part is not having to worry what random psycho bullshit move my ex is going to pull next. It's like the divorce is REALLY final, now. That's the best feeling in it all.

I agree 100%. I won custody of my daughter just before she turned 5. Her mom use to use child support to party and my daughter was always wearing crappy cloths. I had to spend twice as much. $50,000 in 2 stressful years of bullshit, I won custody. One thing is for sure, she is still just as expensive. "Daddy I need or I want." It is all good. As long as I have my baby with me, all is good. She is taking a liking to guitars. I am not sure I can afford another gear head in the house. :cry:

I hear ya, No money saved, but it all goes where it's supposed to. I have no problem spending money on my boy. I am just not handing it to his mother for her to "allocate". My Ex and I have joint custody 50/50, but I made it clear from day 1, I will pay her back for half of anything, if she shows me a recipt. No way in Hell I am handing her a red cent otherwise. I KNOW I spend more on our boy than she does.
 
My ex was doing good by our son for a while, but over the last two years I could tell he was basically being neglected. He made the decision to move out all on his own when he realized he was just a meal ticket.
 
The only thing about the Suhr Moderns, I wonder of the nut width is too narrow. I heard they were 1-5/8" and I really prefer 1-11/16". The soft copper one in the classifieds looks pretty nice very nice, too...

Here is a direct quote from John Suhr from another forum when someone asked about Suhr nut widths: "Just a little decimal math, 11 divided by 16 = .6875 We make those 1.680 to round it off. Our 1 5/8" is not really 1.625 we like 1.65" better which is also what most Fenders are except the late 70's with the narrow nuts."

So, standard....they actually are a lil' wider than 1 5/8. But, if you prefer closer to 1 11/16, then yeah, you'll have to go custom to get it. I personally love the standard 1.650, but everyone is different.

There is a tiny difference in feel between the two but it's a very close run thing.....
