Again Acle is kicking ass.....He's got his hands on the Axe-FX, should be interesting to see what he does with it.

Here's the clip he posted at HC

sorry to say but he has a lot of tweaking until I can call that a win. I think his POD clips kill that clip.

With that said, im pretty sure that with a little time he will really kick some ass with the axe-fx, but he is not there yet IMHO.

all the best

Listening now, the cymbols sound freaking outstanding for samples with great decay sounds. He seems more stoked about DFHS2 right now :D

I would have to really sit down to a/b his older work to this one to hear any differences between the Axe and his PODXT Pro since he is an engineering freak. Sounds outstanding as always and his timing is just off the hook.

To be completely honest with you, soundwise, that's probably the worst I've heard from Tesseract. Although it's at least something new. His stuff generally sounds exactly the same through rectos, engls, anything. This was fresh and sounded like he was going for something unique.

Not saying this or any previous ones are bad at all though. I just prefer the previous sound he had.

I agree while listening here now.....................Concealing Fate part 3 taster clip I am using. BTW the break at :24 would have me kneeled over in pain trying to hit on time.............the boy is a genius

Right now his older stuff is more crisp with slightly more upper mid cut imo and it just has more edge to it. But I am sure he will get it sorted out.

Yea, he stated he has a long way to go before he gets that "Tesseract" sound, but for his first shot.....not bad. I think it's buried in the mix a bit, and needs a tad more gain, and some mids to cut some more, but for as "involved" as the AF is, not bad.

Far lack of a better description it sounds as if he is playing tesseract stuff on a telecaster lol. The distortion sound is thin as hell whereas most of his other stuff is thick and punches you in the face. With that said, I have no doubt that he will kill that track as soon as he has more time with the unit.

That's why it felt intentional. I mean, how can you get that tele/single coil sound by accident you know? I thought maybe he was going for it.

Not doing it for me but that's another story :D

Sounds a little thin compared to the stuff on the TesseracT website. But I sitll like it.

That's one of the worst sounding, dry, cheezegrater AxeFx guitar clips I've ever heard. And that's coming from a guy who owns an Ultra. Maybe that's just the way he likes to dial in his sound but compared to the tone I get from my Ultra the way I like it it's a night and day difference.

You gotta take what kind of music he's playing in consideration though. It almost sounds "industrial" and "soulless" and I bet that's what he's going for. Guys like this who can edit/tweak the shit out of a recorded tone don't end up with some random unintended sound IMO. Especially if you know Tesseract from before..

clips? because i have not heard one direct recording of the axe-fx that even remotely sounded amazing.

all IMHO.

Oh he will get that box dialed in, trust me on that. He may even be one of the best things to happen to the axefx, Acle is an incredible musician and engineer hense he will sort things out.

Say what you will but I dug it enough to use it for this...

Not his best clip but I thought it was kind of cool to hear a gain tone that was a bit different. I agree with Ralph in that it almost sounds like it was played with a Telecaster.

I can respect and appreciate what the guy has done musically and talent wise, just sayin the tone is far from what I would lock into. Now, Pete Thorn on the other hand makes the AxeFx sound like a monster.
