Testing some Two Notes cabs - Henning / Revv Cab / Zeegler V

So I have been wanting to do some updated vids for Steve and was going through my cabs on the Two Notes Torpedo Studio. Planned on using the new Celestial ones and saw I bought a Revv 412! LOL! Totally forgot about it.

Anyway, grabbed the Zeegler and went 2/3's Canuck!

This is just typical Jer sloppy noodling.

All clips had a 121. The main mic is all that changes:
• SM7b - 00:00 - 00:37
• 421 - 00:38 - 1:18
• SM57 - 1:19 - End

Hope to start filming the demo/review today for the cab pack.

So far... not digging them. I'll be doing a review and shootout between the static IR's and the cabs. They seem a little harsh if I am honest.

The Hop Pole Studio V30 4x12 is THE best V30 cab I have found for the Torpedo stuff. It flat out kills. The Fortin ones are great too. He has a 55hz V30 cab and 2 others. They are all better than the Celestion V30 cab.

I should caveat... I haven't spent a TON of time with the Celestion ones so take what I am saying with a grain of salt but there will certainly be a vid of them.

Sure.

All the main mics (57, 7b and 421) were all about where the cone and cap meet. Right up against the cab. The 121 was centered to the cap and pulled back a hair.

When I do the vid I’ll talk it through for sure. The 121 was mixed in just enough to here it come through. Majority is the other mics. I can post better info when I get home.

Yeah - I was wondering about the harshness because I remember reading in the IR capture notes that they made a point about using brand new speakers - wtf??? I'll check them out in the boutique, if avail, as I am back home with my stuff the next few days. Thanks for the current and pending placement/set up info!

Oh yeah for sure. Definitely more gain than I normally use! LOL!

Was just screwing around and the cab really surprised me. Full demo should be up this weekend hopefully.
