All the arguments are about everything NOT related to the root cause of the problem:
Oh this new technology is out to rip us off....
What happened to the good old days when royalties were honored...
I buy all my music on LPS...I never stream or download...

You'd think that with an older clientele they would have a few more well-thought out posts that try to address the problem and maybe propose some solutions (possible amendments to copyright/royalty legislation, amending the technology, etc) or at least have some nifty critiques.

and I'm so sick of "well I haven read any of the previous posts (which shows that i don't GAF about anybody elses opinions), but here's my opinion please read it".

What a bunch of has-beens/never-weres spending too much of the twilight of their lives arguing like old women.

That's actually true...the irony did cross my mind while I was typing it up!!!
But srsly, those guys take it to a completely different level...If I read a post there I feel i'm satisfing some kind of dirty fetish of watching geriatrics playing in the mud.

And totally unrelated, what happened to Splawner not selling the amp to scammer BM?!
That thread can't just disappear like that!

Wow, the thread was locked but you're right, looks like it was deleted too. This forum is not big on audit trails and personal accountability. "Hot" threads like that have been removed from here for years now. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

I don't get it ,why are you bothered by that thread? The first 2 pages seem decent and not so whinery (I stopped reading there), or am I missing something here?

BTW, there are enough old farts here too (me being one of them). The arguing on RT is -more often than not- not so entertaining lately IMHO.

R-T is much slower these days, it was at the bottom of the first page, until a minute ago.
