As some of you may know, everywhere within 50 miles of where i'm typing this is flooded.

I haven't had a good end of the year. But hopefully we can get some of our infrastructure fixed and everything.

Damn....that is just awful. I feel for everyone there and the wildlife, too.

I remember driving around after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and just being stunned at what we saw. I hope things get better over there for you, brother.

Having personally gone through a flood like this myself I can empathize. The immediate effects are bad enough, but people don't always think about recovery after the waters recede and the news cycle moves on. Given the situation I really hope things work out as best they can for you Dan.

Thanks man. Honestly this is the second big dick kick in a row and im waiting to find out how bad the rehearsal space flooding was - my entire gigging rig was there except my les Paul (which, small victories)

It's starting to get a bit depressing

Try not to get too depressed about the gear. There's still some hope on that front. My amps, guitars, and other gear sat underwater for near 5 days. My amps came back to life after being thoroughly dried and of about 20 guitars only 2 were beyond repair with most just needing a good cleaning.

So far everyone is safe, just a bunch of family without power or water or both so far, so lots of "sleepovers" at the moment
I can relate, more than you know brother. I lost 99% of my shit, my house had a foot of water in it for 3 days and my wife and I and my cat Jeff lived in a friend's basement for 6 months while I rebuilt it from the floor joists up every night after work and on weekends. And as I'm sure you know, flood insurance is pretty much a scam.

Yep, i know all too well. That's why i'm nervous to find out how bad our rehearsal space is. What little gear of any import I actually still have is there except for my purple gibson, and i'm honestly dreading it more than anything else now that I know everyone is alive and accounted for

Hoping for the best outcome for you Dan.

All the best man. Sorry to hear about this. I'm glad to hear you and your loved ones are safe. The gear is a massive bummer. I hope the insurance comes through for you. And in general I wish the best for you for the new year.

Fingers crossed for the worst-possible outcomes to not manifest Brother Dan.

Hang in there man.
