It's so close to the real thing you can't even tell!!
Well then why not just get the real thing?
Downloading patches of other amps are way cheaper, take up less room and require no maintenance like buying more real amps
Until you realize you spent your time you could be playing fucking with a digital box which is the camp I’ve always been in.
Because I got into guitar for the toggles, trem arms, knobs, coily cable and other tactile stuff. Guitar is a tactile instrument. So was a recording studio until they turned it into something for pinhead computer geeks. A bunch of lame pop ups on a screen, cause people don't spend enough time staring at screens already. It's advantage is cost and convenience therefore it's perfect for broke ass lazy musicians. Anyone designing anything with maximum audio fidelity in mind is building actual gear, not programming computers. Menus are for waffle house. A mouse is something you feed to a pet snake or monitor lizard.i see guys say this all the time, and i guess i just dont understand as hitting a button or turning a knob on the helix seems easier than switching amps and pedals out of my rack, and still having to twist knobs. fucking with tones is where the majority of my riffs come from when i am just noodling away trying stuff. there are guys that just cant deal with using a mouse to mix in a DAW and just have to use a console too for reasons i cant explain, i have a console and i certainly dont get any thrill out of turning knobs like some do
