War, Tower of Power, Chic, Commodores, Santana, etc...

A must-have album for any respectable record collection. :)

The bass player from Funkadelic, Cordell 'Boogie' Mosson, died last Thursday.

RIP

The music I like best is from the 60's & 70's .... George Clinton has been my spiritual leader a very long time. It is impossible to see Funkadelic live & not dance..... I do not care who you are.

I bought that whole "Midnight Special" 10 video (or whatever it was) set to get stuff like this from the 70s! Love it. That Johnny Winters was a bad man!

Can you imagine these acts all playing the same show today?

Steve

50's/60's/70's bluegrass/rock/motown for me. 80's era music was an absolute train-wreck, but it was one helluva ride!

Funkapolloza!

Cal Jam had a few good bands if I remember. :)

Bass players take note... No pick!

Hazel Payne looks hot!

Love bass tones from the 70's. Especially the early 70's. Perfect mix with mid range pronounced, raw guitars.

Great stuff in this thread...Rory Gallagher is one of my all time faves, as is Thin Lizzy. I'll add to the party:
