Thanks, mate!Sounds great as always Eddy... I've never been a an of EL84's but you make them sound good.
Have you considered using EL34, 5881, or 6l6 just running at a lower voltage like the Soldano HR25, SLO30 and PRS MT15?
I feel the full side power tubes just give a larger footprint in those amps versus the smaller tubes like 6V6 and El84. I'm not knocking them in your amp in any way, so great job on getting them to keep their backbone in the low frequencies and retaining headroom.
I assume Loomis was wanting EL84's because of how your previous 20 watter sounded. Nice the be recognized Eddy great job!
Yeah, I thought about it after I modded a few of the Studio Marshalls which have EL34, but for this one, I wanted to stick to EL84.
I'll probably experiment with different tubes for a lower wattage amp in the future.
