OK, here's the deal. The amp obviously has the bias test points. So his argument that the amp is in a newer chassis, but doesn't have the upgraded circuits is wrong. I've circled the bias test points on the underside of the BLUE power tube board provided by nbarts. You can clearly see the test points are a part of the new BLUE board. Yellow is for each tube and Red is the common grounding point.
What do you think; should I seal the deal and email him about the external test points? He seems to not mind me too much as of yet!

I think at this point......he will never turn back his word and lose face.
He has been TOO MUCH OF A DICKHEAD to be wrong at this point.

Face it....he has the ONE AMP that is a Mystery and not even on the Books at Bogner!
a one of a kind!!

But dont question him....he has been playing and selling gear for 20 years.
Even though I been doing that for 28 years......he is more professional than any company or man alive.

Fuck him........

Sure, why stop now!! I bet he's already cooking up his next rock right now.

Ask him to slide the chassis out of the head and send you a guts shot. That would be the "end all" of all discussion.

"I just noticed something now. Do you know what those two blue things are in the picture? I put white arrows pointing at them. I’m just asking because a friend of mine had a Rev2 a while back and they weren’t there. Probably more anomalies because it’s a transitional head? Anyway, if you know what they are just let me know, otherwise I’m not worried about it."

I would just say you want to know exactly the specs of something your buying. I mean....it is TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS and not twenty bucks! Jeez....he said the slight tone change is illrelavant?? TO whom is it? Him??
I think the buyer needs FULL Discloser on a big buck item like this. Not the Hymn and Humming he is giving like someone is "hassling him" for christ sakes....

It's all a damn joke (literally!). Here's his response to my last email:

"Yeah, the bias points off the chassis. I just had somebody pull the chassis to see if the boards are what Bogner says--Green; as I can't imagine they ported this chassis to a Green PC board. I think Bogner just simply was unable to get this head dated properly back in the day. I should know in a few minutes."

Auction updated again:

NOTE: According to Bogner, this head is a late, "transitional" revision 2. It appears to have the last run of the green PC boards, though everything else about the chassis aside from the power cord hook-up is like a Blue, including the word "blue". So, this head, which appears to have been build 8/04, is one of the last of the revision 2 heads to come through the shop. The serial is +-v and Bogner notes it as a R-2. I can tell you it sounds different than the Blue we have at auction, though only slightly. We will have the chassis pulled to exam the PC boards tomorrow just to double check Bogner, as they are really not sure via appeal to this serial number.

I knew it!!! ITs BOGNER'S FAULT!!

So it DID ACTUALLY SAY BLUE on the back of the amp!!!

Holy Shit....it dont get better than this. :D

Now I am going to ask him if he has a regular REV 2 for sale....not looking for a BLUE. ;)

Why couldnt he be like this when this hole thing started? Was that so fucking hard?

So he is going to throw this back at "Bogner" saying he was wrong and screwed his dating and mixed up parts? Watch It wont be the tranny's fault.

Because he is a fucking idiot?

I like how it now says "Blue" on the chassis, but oh Lord, it didn't say that two days ago. It must be a miracle!! All hail the AMP GOD!! :worship:

Man......this was a fun ride.

Now I will write him and say.....Do you have a regular REV 2?? Thought I saw you had one for auction last week. I am not looking for a Blue.

Or - I think - even better; say:

"Do you have a regular REV 2?? Thought I saw you had one for auction last week. I am not looking for a transitional Uber"

He writes the Corrected part of the description.....but still leaves this part in it... :D

ps--hey geniuses, ya see any bias test points on the rear of this head?? You people are amazingly dim if you can't tell a revision 2 from a a Blue (which we are also selling one of, by the way). What's worse is that you people should stick to retail; as ebay is not the place for you insofar as you question things like this--I mean, it's not as though we are selling our first amp here!!

"Hang up your jacket on the way out.....YOUR JUST A TOOL!!"

AND THE ICING ON THE CAKE IS FINALLY PUT IN PLACE!!!!!!!!

"This is a blue is almost every way, though there is something different about how the input power transformer is brought in; hence they then went with the IEC cords for AC supply on revision blue heads, though this one is a connected cord. I am having one of the guys pull apart one of my revision 2 heads to see if he can discern what, if any, difference there is at the power input transformer stage. But otherwise, it appears to be almost identical to any other blue. I think the serial number merely fall into some gray area with Bogner; as this head is apparently right at the transition phase. So, when my guys phoned it in last month and only gave them the serial, Bogner couldn't really place it. This does mean that I have another revision 2 somewhere in one of the storage lockups somewhere that needs to be found--as this should have been a different head then. Hey, just goes to show ya you should NEVER sell off amps or guitars! Oh, now I'm hearing something about how there is something strange about the bias ports, too. Geez, they're probably just unconnected ports in the chassis or something. I've got to go to see the tech dude and get this thing figured out."

He is jUST BOUND AND DETERMINED to prove this MYSTERY wrong!!
BOGNER just HAD TO HAVE MESSED UP! Not him or his 'staff'..... ;)

I bet he also keeps looking for Bigfoot and the Lochness monster as well....
