I wish to be close of Slash sound , but i miss soething on my sound , is the TL-2 Digitech is the best that i can find for what i'm look for ? Please Let me know i want the best distortion Pedal versatyl to combine on my JCM.

So i need a more Hi gain with Rich harmonic for solo or riffs what do you think about :

Digitech TL-2
Line6 Uber Metal

I wish to have the best versatile distortion pedal

Gotta be the Suhr Riot - I wouldn't survive most fly gigs where they give me crappy amps if it wasn't for that pedal!

There are a lot of great pedals out there right now and best is very subjective. One I like for leads is the wampler slostortion.

Slash's sound isn't really that distorted, and if that's what you're going for your JCM should cover it. If you're looking for a more harmonically rich sound for solo's and rhythms, I'd recommend trying a boost. The Suhr Koko Boost, or Majik Box Rocket Fuel are two of the best I've come across IMHO.

this is what you're looking for. usually runs around $150 new.

For Slash I would try an original Marshall Guv'nor or Wilson Sparkling Blue.

I will say for higher gain pedals, there are not many that I like, most have a really harsh top end.

You can also try just boosting the front of the JCM800 with a Boss SD-1 or an Ibanez Tubescreamer.

Distortion.

Source Audio Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion - new, dimesional distortion dirt, with 7-band EQ

Source Audio Soundblox Pro Classic Distortion - classic distortions, with 7-band EQ

for less money, smaller enclosures, no eq, get the the non-pro version.

I've had my Pro Multiwave Distortion since last August, very versatile (23 different distortion effect types to choose from) and sounds great. I don't have the Classic as I have that area covered by other dirt pedals.

Rich harmonics, that change as they decay with pick attack and guitar volume and tone control settings, or more consistent distortion all depends on the effect type and settings you use. clips, demos and read the manual. It is full of options, I've not tired of experimenting or the sounds I get out of this pedal.

Worth a look...

FWIW, I use their Soundblox Pro Bass Envelope Filter for my bass, only effect I use for bass besides compression.

Suhr Riot gets my vote. It will give you boost/hair or metal no problemo..

I agree with Alex. . . But the Riot gets my vote over anything else. I have a Rockbox B.P. too, great pedal for OD tones but I pick the Riot any day for distortion

Best distortion is no pedal at all IMO...
This.

But outside of the above, I love the OCD - your bit about remaining harmonically rich is what the OCD is all about. And it has a great sweep on it too, doesn't have to be fullbore gain, you can add some hair and teeth with the knob just a touch past 10 o'clock

You've got a good amp. It sounds like you may have good luck with an overdrive pedal to kick things up a notch. There are many out there, but most are variations of either the Ibanez Tubescreamer or Boss SD-1. I prefer the TS pedals and use one with my Marshall JMP, but some prefer the SD-1. If you get a chance, try each one with your Marshall and see if one sounds right to you and adds enough to the Marshall's distortion to get you the sound you want.

i like the HAO Rust Booster to add harmonic content to my amps. I run the gain at 3'oclock and the level at noon. It doesn't push the volume much (it can if you push the level up. LOADS of gain there.) but it adds a whole different texture.

my 2 cents.

Wampler Pinnacle is my go to pedal when I'm going to have to plug in to a piece of crap amp.....

...the one you never have to step on ;) I hate overdrive pedals but like some others have mentioned a boost may be all you need.
