Source Audio Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion - new, dimesional distortion dirt, with 7-band EQ
I've had my Pro Multiwave Distortion since last August, very versatile (23 different distortion effect types to choose from) and sounds great.
Rich harmonics, that change as they decay with pick attack and guitar volume and tone control settings, or more consistent distortion all depends on the effect type and settings you use. clips, demos and read the manual. It is full of options, I've not tired of experimenting or the sounds I get out of this pedal.

A BK Tube Driver with the right tube will wake up a 800. But most 800's, jack to jack, cranked , have a very desirable tone.
As Stramm8 said ..the one you never have to step on ;) I hate overdrive pedals but like some others have mentioned a boost may be all you need.
You may want to sell that 800 and delve into a quality "high gain" head that needs nothing in front.
