Hey guys, I picked up a modified Dual Rectifier from Brian of BFG Amplification. Great guys and brilliant with amps.

I have a Bogner Shiva, PWE and the modded DR, and am saving for another amp this year. BFG is always at the top of my list, right there with Mesa Boogies like the Royal Atlantic, Bogner, Mesa Boogie, Fryette, and many others costing a lot more. His stuff is great from the few I have played.

I am looking an authentic Marshall sound but thicker, something 90s to current that cleans up well and will also see if I can get a nice Marshall clean channel. Any experience with BFG amps guys, how do you like, etc?

I really think I want the BFG Angry Beaver mod or Snorkler mod.

Thanks!

BFG Amplification

October 21, 2013

After some long deliberations I have decided that I will no longer be doing mods or building amps for the general public. I have been blessed by some great support from family, friends and customers but I have decided I need to spend more time with my family/kids as they are becoming more active in sports and music. I have some nagging back issues myself and sitting over my bench working on amps for hours doesn't help either. My goal was always to provide great amps/mods at a reasonable price with great customer service and I feel I have accomplished that. I'm going to be finishing up the remaining orders I have commited to through December and will also be selling most all of the prototype amps I built and the ones in some of the videos I did so if you want one, speak now. I have been approached about selling some of my designs or doing some kits but that is off my radar at the moment. Again, thanks for the support and keep on rocking!

Your best bet is to check the member classifieds here or EBay

I think his best work is the 3 channel Dual Rectifier. I am glad I was able to get that when I did.

My arm is in a sling from being twisted. :D I did take a lot of time off to do more with my family and it has been great. I'm doing a few small jobs and am mulling over doing mods again but not at the same pace I was before. I have been talking with a lot of people about it so we'll see what happens. I appreciate the support as always.

Brian is a great guy and is a brilliant modder/builder. I would love to work with him in the future. Peace Brian!

Are any of you familiar with the Mesa Roadster and Reborn Multi watt head compared to the BFG Dual Rectifier mod?
I am thinking of picking up a stock Roadster or Multi-Watt Rectifier but not if the BFG modded Rectifier is so much better, which I already own! Just looking to get that stock recto sound as well as having Brian's modded Mesa. :)

Man, that one that LP Freak had or has for sale here a while back sounded freakin huge. Sounded as good or better than any modded Marshall that I've heard clips of on here. I'd have jumped on that if I would have had the cash!

Big Muff, Angry Beaver, Pink Taco and more that I can't find at the moment. If I ever make a mod or pedal, I'm naming it One of Many Pussy Jokes.

edit: Dayum, you could probably get a proper Ace of Spades tone with this one:

What model was it or which mod? Brian is a killer dude, and I was hoping he could mod a 2203 for me. :)

I am not a metal fan or an 80s fan, but I want moderate to high gain.

I had him do a one off for me. I was wanting the Slave To The Grind tone and that's what I got. Contact Brian. I'm sure he could do another like it. Boost is the new proud owner of the one I had.
