The boost button on my Renegade footswitch not workking

Hey guys -

I need help... a few weeks ago I did a gig with my Renegade head with no problem. Stored the footswitch which is located on a pedaltrain board in the case and played twice with the head without using the footswitch changing channels. Last weekend at another gig, the boost button of the footswitch would no engage. Everything else was fine but the boost button. Any idea was is going on or what I could do to make it work again?? I've got a big gig tomorrow night and I am a bit nervous about it.

Footswitches are notorious for this sort of thing. It is possible that it is just the contact inside. You might want to open it up and take a look.

use the other side of the footswitch, if that works it's the footswitch not the amp (a good thing IMHO) if its the footswitch, you'll have to get it fixed but, for the gig you could use another footswitch (like marshall or what ever you have? ) just to get through the gig.

Assuming the FX and reverb footswitches are working properly, plug the black connector from the footswitch into the beige jack, and see if the FX loop and Reverb buttons control the channel and boost properly.

If that works, then the Boost switch is defective. If it doesn't, then the amp is...

That's a good recommendation... I'll give it a try tonight when I get home.

Another thing to check is to make sure the switch above the boost button is in the center position, so it will work on both channels. If you have it set to either side, it could make the pedal not behave how you would expect. It is possible there is something wrong, but that would be the very first thing to double check.

I've got the same problem. The amp is awesome, but I can't get the main 2 to engage on the footswitch. Is there any settings or switches on the amp that could be causing the problem? I'm really annoyed tbh, and I can't understand why it isn't working.

get a volt meter, and see what other connectors do when engaged, then check the boost to see if there is a similar ohm change-I'm a electronic hack obviously but usually figure crap out-with no electricity passing through.
