The Clapton signature Stratocaster with Vintage Noiceless stacked Humbuckers has 105 db boost

Whatever. Having owned enough EC Strats to have an opinion, and IMO, the preamp worked extremely well with the Gold Lace Sensor pu's. With the current Vintage Noiseless, it's MUD city.

I had a Strat back in the early 90's that had the red , silver , blue combo ...... I absolutely loved the Blue in the neck ...

never had tried the Golds

this is why yours was so cheap. you dont have the full boost package. You didn't listen to me.
