Could we get some rules to kind of clean it up please?

How about not letting folks post 10 ads and taking up the entire first page?

I get it. People need to sell their stuff. However there are many members that post the items they are selling under 1 post.

That would at least be a start to clean things up.

Yep. No reason to list three pickups on three different ads

If you could delete your posts when they sell it would make sense so it’s very clear what is left to sell but…..I don’t know if mods are maybe working at least an archive system where we could request a post archived when it sells as they want the posts to remain viewable under a search.

No, it is too much BS and people like to see what stuff sold for..transparency.

I do think people like to look at ads that sold, to establish what they think could be a market. I try to do that a lot of times.

Reverb moves way more product than RT and you can knock off 10% of the sold price to do the same thing. Deleting your own sold items makes way more sense, especially if people don’t want to show the sold price which isn’t always the case but does happen.

Personally, I don’t look at sold history because markets and demand change, and I always aim to at least break even. I never aim to lose money ever.

Just delete the sold price then. Done.

Most peeps do this BTW.

I'll move this to Rig-Talk Feedback...

I even take it further to delete the thread title to further clean up the search feature, hence forth the juxtaposition of the OP’s post.

All it takes is adding (SOLD) to the thread title once an item moves on IMO.
People don't have to announce the actual selling price if they don't want to.
Leaving the listing price in the posts can be helpful for those who find the listing later.

Threads will naturally drop down and off the more current pages once they're inactive.
They'll still show up in a search by those who are curious about specific items.
I don't have a dog in the race, but that's my take on it.
