The ENGL Morse sits (and sat) next to some of the biggest and most coveted amps, IIC+ and SLO. It is STILL every bit as good in all it’s own ways. It just plays so freely and allows you to be you. I set a tone on day one and I never feel the need to adjust anything to be satisfied, insanely beautiful tones.
On another note, I’ve been practicing Glasgow Kiss (John Petrucci) lately and feel I am finally making progress. Not perfect, have some mistakes in here, and the second/ending solo is halfway improved. Not as clean as I want, but it’s one of the few times in my guitar life that I have become kind of proud of something I’m doing, haha!

Congrats!

I picked up a Steve Morse head back when they first came out. Great amp! I should have kept it, but I traded it (along with 10 other amps) for a 10,000w outdoor pro-level PA that I thought I really needed

Sounds great. Whoever sold that to you was either cool as shit or dumb as hell :)

Your clips of Morse make me to watch for one. I had every other Engl except Morse. Does it have 'organic chrunch' quality PTP amps like Bogners or Wizards ?

Thank you! The Morse feels so free it really motivates me to push myself and try things I may otherwise not. Incredible amp.

Sounds like a MATURE trade, but not a fun one! Amazing amps. Did the PA get good use at least?

Nice! I'm keeping an eye out for a used one, but they don't come up very often.

I’ll keep you in mind if I find anything!

How Marshall-like are the dirty channels of the ENGL Morse? I'm sure they'll have some ENGL flavor to them, but it sounds like the Morse is supposed to be more British-voiced than their other amps. I'm looking for a MIDI-capable channel switcher that does clean as well as a good cross section of Marshall-type dirt.

Very good clean, and channel 1 and 2 can do great oldschool Marshall tones. Most versatile amp I’ve ever had by far, and a million good sounds. Here’s all three Channels.

great playing great amp dude
I LOVE Steve Morse- the entire dregs catalouge and high tension wires are some of the greatest of all time modern music.
it's not surprising that Steve has designed the perfect amp with engl.

Thank you man! Yea, they said he sent it back a million times to tweak thing and always used the proto live and in the mix. Very particular he was, and it paid off. The clean works better in a mix than probably anything I’ve used. The whole amp is just absolutely phenomenal and feels unreal.

Yes, I did get some great use out of that PA! It really sounded amazing, and it had tons of power to spare, even at outdoor gigs.
