I had the Kali, still have the SLOII and the JCM800. The 800 does that thing with more versatility than a normal 800 head. For me it's worth it to have all 3. The JMP is cool as well, but the 800 works better for me.

Thanks man! I have never had an Orange tube amp so can only compare with the solid state amps. Definitely more low end, more thud, more 3D, etc. The Orange Super Crush is amazing but can't have that power and feel.

I had the Kali, still have the SLOII and the JCM800. The 800 does that thing with more versatility than a normal 800 head. For me it's worth it to have all 3. The JMP is cool as well, but the 800 works better for me.

The JCM800 isn't as smooth as the KK and SLOII, and it has far less gain. It is more of that mid gain percussive clanky type thing 800s are known for. I pretty much always boost it. I always find boosted 800s tend to be more percussive and aggressive than many other Marshall based circuits.

I have 10 different Synergy modules. It is probably my lowest gain one, but I like the punchy, percussive boosted 800 sound.

It is hard to say because they are all good for what they do. The Uber is always one of my favorites. The Drect+Boost is in the same world. The IICP brings the 80s Metallica. The Drect, SLOII, and 6505 are all kind of in the same world.

The BE-Dlx is in the same ballpark as the KK, but not as extreme. It is like a more polite KK.

I have the Uber, IICP, Powerball, Ultra Lead, 6505, KK, BE-Dlx, JCM800, Drect, and SLO II.

The sloII is fucking awesome. The ultralead, drect, kk are all good also.

I'm still on the fence. I have two good modules already and don't know if I really need it so might hold off.

I will say that i rolled back the volume on the KK and played some pink floyd. It is pretty damn good. Is that the other one you have?

The JCM800 does a pretty good ACDC straight in. It has that attacky crunch to it. It gets more hair metal when you boost it with something like a SD-1. I like to run 2 OD pedals into it for more of a Death Metal tone.

The Uber has 2 good channels. The blue channel is more of a modded Marshall type sound. It is in the same neighborhood of the KK. The Red channel is more of a modded Recto type sound. It is a great module for anything heavy.

Something like the IICP would give you something totally different than Marshall, if you are looking for something different.
