The if money were no object thread

When it comes to 'stuff' like gear and shit, money really isn't an issue for me...

But if money were truly of no consequence, I'd wish for more free time - gobs and gobs and gobs of it... To spend with my wife, my kids, surfing, skiing, making music, laughing, chilling, smiling, working out, doing fun shit, etc. I'd probably not spend a nickel more on gear, I'd just have vast amounts of quality time to enjoy all of what I already have.

That would be my life if money were no object :D

I still don't think I would go extravagent, more like just a few very nice playable guitars from good manufactures, Anderson, Suhr, 3-4 electrics tops, maybe 3 top quality amps like diezel, cameron and something else. 2 different cabs, good mics, good pre's, good synthy stuff, good monitors, nothing extravagent, just get some higher quality stuff then I have now. I still wouldn't pay 10 grand for a guitar..

From a man who knows his synthy stuff, might I add... :salute:

Well I meant guitar-wise. Bro if money were no object for me I can tell you this much... my ass would not be walking into a prison everyday.

So, you are Uber rich, we are happy for you.

Although I totally agree, what is really important isn't "stuff" like gear, etc. But if money were no object, hell why not-I'd most definitely purchase an actual 59 burst. A Tom Anderson tele/maybe a Danocaster tele, something Friedman (SS, Naked, Dirty Shirley, something like that), probably a bunch of other stuff as well. I'd have fun with my stuff as well as the more important things in life (just as I do now I guess just with more-being that money is an object).

Well, pretty much what Mo said. more time for all the enjoyable stuff.

Guitar/gear wise-I would buy everything just to check it out, then sell what I didn't like.

There was a fella introduced to R-T a while ago who builds custom Les Pauls. I'm ashamed to say that I don't recall his name. I just remember his product.. And his price tag. But yeah, that's the rout I'd love to go if I could swing it. Looks like he does absolutely BEAUTIFUL work.

If money was no object, a 1959 Gibson Les Paul flametop burst! Absolutely!! <3

you've mentioned your profession before, and my hat's off to you. I wouldn't last 5 minutes.

but to address the thread topic, I'd drive up to David McNaught's shop for a while

and while in NC, i'd hit up James Lugo for some singing lessions

If we had to stay gear related I would have someone like rack systems bring my current gear together in a comprehensive rig and hire someone to carry it for me.
