Like many others I was banned from TGP. My serious infraction was having 2 accounts with the same IP address, My brother was staying with me and was using my PC to log on. Went to the site today for the first time in over a year. Saw a listing about a potentially fake Anderson. Since not a single person that posted on the thread new how to tell if an Anderson is fake I tried logging on to help the guy out. I got a message that said I was banned and that it would never be lifted. What a joke. Its a gear forum not national security. I couldn't care less just thought it was funny.
BTW. The identifying mark on an Anderson, for those who don't know, is a small circle on the back of the headstock by the "G" string tuner. I believe it is an inlayed piece of wood, darker ( on maple necks) and I assume the reverse on a mahogany or rosewood neck.

About a year and a half ago when the iPhone 5 came out and all the guys were in a flutter to get it...someone posted that they don't see much difference.....I posted that it now comes in 5 gay colors.

Big Mike emailed me and said he was banning me for 30 days for a "Hate Crime"! I told him he was an idiot and I would prefer to be banned for life. So...he did. The place is full of goofballs.

lol I got banned because I was trying to buy something but he sold it to somebody else because he had to ship it even though I offered to pay for shipping. So because the dbag wasn't comfortable shipping something somebody was going to pay him some money for even though he was selling it on eBay it was a rackmount fender solid state preamp of all things. So I reacted negatively and maybe that wasn't right but then the moderator said something and I just called him a douche for not enforcing the buyer or seller agreement they have posted in the classifieds. If I try to go on the gear page from my IP address it says you have been banned for life for calling the moderator a douche which i think is quite hilarious.

TGP is VERY punitive, and they certainly don't apply the rules uniformly. They let some people get away with murder and others get banned for the silliest things. Same thing over at Seymour Duncan. They're all a bunch of liberal douchebags.

I have been an active member there for a long long time and I have never been banned or suspended. I know the line and I don't usually cross it. Not that hard really.

However I do agree some have been given a free pass. At least in the past. I never see any inappropriate post because they get deleated so fast.
