I mean if I showed you these 4 players with no names and you didn't even know who they were based on Spring Training........

Which player would you want on your team...... this kid...... he ain't not joke and he is going to Debut tomorrow for the Houston Astros..... Cam Smith looks to be ready and an easy top 2-3 pick for AL ROY......

The only pitcher in history to win a Cy Young and ROY during the same season in their respective league.......was Fernando Valenzuela....... some pretty exclusive company shared by no other player and with no other player..........

As impossible as it may sound I believe Roki Sasaki has an opportunity to do the same given his stuff........ others are ranked higher for Cy Young but none really have the chance to do both...... and with a guy like Sasaki.....

He didn't come to the States or the MLB to just fuck around...... and he's got the stuff to win ROY easily and go for a Cy Young possibly as well........ in either case already pretty impressive stuff with a lot of potential.......

It ain't Opening Day without raising that Opening Day flag next to the good old Red, White and Blue ^_^

Well it is Cardinals opening day. It is raining, but it looks to be clearing up a bit. First pitch at 3:15. Okay, it's time for my yearly Cardinals prediction. I won't sit here and pontificate on possibilities. I am saying the Cards are a 83 win team.

Yeah those are high hopes and higher hopes than I have for my team and the Angels.

But the good thing is the the NL Central and well whatever projections say that whole division is really anyones for the taking IMO.

Hope springs eternal and here is to a good season for the Cards.

Is "your team" the Dodgers?

Is "your team" the Dodgers?
No...... just a Baseball fan in general and my team is the Angels for good or bad being from Anaheim....

Just looking forward to a healthy Trout and to build the young core......

But yeah Go Halos

I remember when the Twins crushed the Cards in the '87 series. That was the most significant event of my youth asides the Berlin wall coming down.

I was too young to really remember. But in retrospect, I do remember people being angry, and calling Kent Herbek a homosexual male.

The Cards have been dominant in Baseball and in their division for some time especially the last 2-3 decades but their division and the game has gotten a lot more competitive especially relatively recently.

Anything is possible and Twins actually are strong having said that and being in a different leaugue and division and given projections but if your a fan and saw that implosion last season when they were 15 games ahead to win their Divsion and make postseason..... a month before the season ended......

It's just hard to trust that team again but they have a somewhat sound blueprint in either case. I can see them be a contender for WC and maybe make a push for the division but IMO the Tigers and Royals look deeper and the teams to beat in that division.
