ImO the Astros probably outdid themselves and won the 2025 Trade War..... Yankees, Padres and Mariners also did some good stuff along with Cubs..... but the Astros outdid themselves and everyone.......
In general its pretty stupid to asign grades to this stuff and solely base it off value and analytics...... different teams got different players for different purposes depending on their strategy.....
Teams that had a bunch of holes traded more than those that didnt if you think about it too and its not about how many trades you made or didnt..... its about covering what you needed to further build around strategy vs just buying players to win now IMO.

Currently beating the "experts" at MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox at their own game........ and while they think they are matching me....... pretty much just copying and pasting my methodology based on the WAR-Ratio that I developed...... they may be using the same deck/hand as me but they don't know how to really use it or how to play the cards that I invented and developed to their full potential.........

I'm beating the "experts" and every "expert" on the planet in terms of Baseball on every level regarding my preseason Power Rankings vs the "experts"............

Based off Total Team WAR, Starting Pitching rotations projections and the WAR-Ratio as a baseline along with other factors and considerations for teams with most likelihood and highest likelihood of making postseason for 2025.......
My Rankings are more accurate and to a lower margin of error when it came to my Regular Season and Post Season Power Rankings in the 2023 season vs the "experts"......they actually reflected performance by teams better than MLB/ESPN/Verlander/The-Ringer.... as good as the "experts" in 2024 and I don't have a full department of people and "professionals" or "experts" like Ken Rosenthal running around a floor of 500 people and a nationwide network of hundreds if not thousands of reporters and journalist..........
It's just me, my WAR-Ratio method and other factors and considerations, basic stats available to everyone and a little bit of calculus along with my Ti-84+ calculator.......thats it......you heard it here first.......

While trades are great and they make sense to win now........ let's not forget what happened to the Giants after they dipped their toes in the Devils water......and traded for Devers..... it didn't guarantee them anything and a win now move became a lose later disaster...... the Giants traded for Devers and were actually in WC for what seems like ages ago..... look where a pure win now mentality got Devers and the Giants.......

The team we always believed in as...... finally comes through...... and makes hopes come true....... The Mariners seem to be ahead of the curve as of today ^_^
