And well there is a lot of maths that goes into making solid projections and many do a bunch of other conventional things that while have some sense to them, don't really do a good job of using available stats and analytics to make solid projections.


The WAR-Ratio is pretty simple and from that you can apply the same logic to different aspects of the game from how to pick an FA to better build a team and just a better understanding of the game in the 21st century.The WAR-Ratio broken down to an equation and simple terms...... a lot of other maths and patience went over a month to get it down to this essentially and find that it applied to players with a WAR of atleast 1.5 or higher on average over 5 seasons...... this is how I was able to project MVP and Cy Young ahead of the "experts" for two seasons now along with other factors and considerations but mainly this.....



[(Players WAR average over 5 seasons)/(Projected WAR for next season)]




Vs whatever the "experts" and donkeys at MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox or the Baseball Writers Association of America over the past 2 seasons and MLB powered by Google AI..... it's better than 1000 years of combined knowledge of said "experts" or the conventional wisdom of the past 100+ years or any other methodology in Baseball in the 21st Century.


Its kind of complicated but when broken down to an equation its a lot easier to understand. Any player below .7 is not consistent or overvalued in some cases, any player above .8 is decent and a player that will perform shy of projections but still decent, .9 and close to 1 means a player set to meet projections or come close to them and 1 or above 1 is undervalued in some cases or a player that is set to meet projections or out pace them most likely....... Pretty much assigning an F, D, C, B, A or A+ grade to the value of a player.

Probably the most influential and most relevant expert in Baseball of this century.......had nothing to do with Baseball or ever even watched a game in his life......




Although I did develop the WAR-Ratio I never would have figured it out if it wasn't for Jim Slater.......and adapting his PEG-Ratio to Baseball.........a British accountant, financial invester/analyst from the 70's.........





The WAR-Ratio and the perspective it brings is at the core of my Top FA's for 2024 and its been shown to be a far superior method vs whatever other method or conventional wisdom the "experts" at the MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox/Verlander etc etc have used for the last 100+ years or however long ^_^

At the heart of the WAR-Ratio is the mindset of foregoing the Juan Sotos, Aaron Judges and well even the Ohtanis or Trouts of the world.......




While these players are fantastic and anyone would have them they are already valued at market price or just arent a viable choice given the money they cost for some teams......




At the core of the WAR-Ratio method is the need to indetify undervalued players in order to simply get the most back on WAR to increase Total Team WAR like one would buy a stock to get the highest return on their investment.




One can also recreate a Trout, Judge or whoever "in the aggregate" using this approach and method and its been my approach to how teams should be built. You can also probably get more WAR for less money this way too and not have all the eggs in one basket.



Jim explains it best in how he approaches Monopoly.



Due to the way the game works and the arithmetical return for what you pay you actually land on the orange houses a lot more that bring a lower return and cost less due to the "Go to Jail Card" and other cards that help you get there faster or land on the orange houses more for more and even higher returns after landing in jail or cards that make you walk back and land on orange houses again and win faster.........






The same logic is applied when using WAR with Jim Slaters PEG Ratio in this sense with Baseball and picking FAs using the WAR Ratio in that you pick players that stand a higher chance of bringing a higher return in terms of production and wins with WAR with their cumulative WAR and the cost for that WAR and the highest returns given the opportunity cost.



In Monopoly due to the rules you land on orange houses more and stand to win more buying oranges houses..... undervalued players are the orange houses in today's game and in the MLB.....forget about the more expensive blue houses and the others....





Many people don't know that about Monopoly.......or Baseball and the MLB nowadays ImO.....

ALS awareness matters on..... and off the field...... Lou Gehrig Day or not...... IMO with todays technology maybe an advancement is right around the corner and you never know.....


Remember it's been well over 70-80 years since Lou Gehrig was diagnosed and to this day there is no real cure for ALS....... maybe there isn't a cure but despite that IMO people like Sarah Langs are truly an inspiration not just in the real work she does in the sport not out of a need to be "better" or to do anything amazing really...... but just out of a real love for the sport


The work and dedication Langs brings to the sport is equal to that of Astrophysicist or Brain Surgeons or something....... she simply shows us things about the sport it's trying to tell us and not many others or anyone else can see really...... and for no other reason but for a love of the sport.


Even Shohei, Judge, Trout and anyone else would agree and tip their hat to Miss Langs and all the work she does.


Maybe there isn't a cure today or maybe there won't be one tomorrow.......



But that doesn't stop Langs or hinders her in any way and she is simply the best in Baseball.



Reporting/journalism/statistics/analytics....... No one on the planet is better than Miss Langs and she is the best at what she does ^_^

Awareness to ALS/Lou Gerigs disease...... makes a difference..... on and off the field ^_^

Sarah Langs brave battle with ALS is truly inspiring and a real lesson and example for the rest of us...... even though she has this disease she never stops working, she doesn't let it bring her down and she is one of the best at what she does the world over.....


She is simply the best and most amazing person in the sport yet she doesn't even play...... and many players would agree..... this lady knows Baseball like no one else alive.......



Here's is to Langs and as said ALS awareness makes a difference on...... and off the field ^_^

Headlessdeadguy… he received some tragic news about his wife. She is in the battle of her life right now with cancer. It’s not looking good and it’s going to be a tough battle. Friends have organized a benefit show and get together for this wonderful woman Tannis. Not sure yet what we can do as far as donating or supporting them but for now if any mid-Atlantic homies can make it out..or anyone for that matter….here’s the details-

Mike is like a brother to me and I love he and Tannis even though we have never officially met. I think if nothing else give your prayers and ask...

Didn't think I'd have the energy for another season but giving it a second thought.......





This is 2 seasons and the second season and second season in a row now where I projected MVP and Cy Young ahead of the “experts” at MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox or the donkeys at the Baseball Writers Association of America and even ahead of MLB powered by Google AI….







-2 seasons back to back from 2023-2024 ^_^











It’s not a coincidence and it’s not luck…..





For 2 seasons I have projected as good or better results in my Power Rankings and projections for teams that actually made post season, have projected AL or NL MPV ahead of the "experts" and have projected a Cy Young winner ahead of any "expert" on the planet or MLB powered by Google AI..... maybe I can make it a hat trick and make it three seasons in a row........ who the hell knows but it's time to sit back, chill, see how this season unfolds, come in and discuss what's going on in Baseball today and what actually matters vs cats stuck on trees and what basic garbage the MLB Network talks about and "let the kids play".......

Currently beating the "experts" at MLB/ESPN/MLB on Fox at their own game........ and while they think they are matching me....... pretty much just copying and pasting my methodology based on the WAR-Ratio that I developed...... they may be using the same deck/hand as me but they don't know how to really use it or how to play the cards that I invented and developed to their full potential.........

My Rankings are more accurate and to a lower margin of error when it came to my Regular Season and Post Season Power Rankings in the 2023 season vs the "experts"......they actually reflected performance by teams better than MLB/ESPN/Verlander/The-Ringer.... as good as the "experts" in 2024 and I don't have a full department of people and "professionals" or "experts" like Ken Rosenthal running around a floor of 500 people and a nationwide network of hundreds if not thousands of reporters and journalist..........





It's just me, my WAR-Ratio method and other factors and considerations, basic stats available to everyone and a little bit of calculus along with my Ti-84+ calculator.......thats it......you heard it here first.......

It's an end of an era...... Kersh to retire after this season..... What a career and what a legend..... We wont see and simply haven't really seen a player like this in a long long time...... And who knows when we will see another like him again...... It's pretty hard to believe but it's happening.....

For a third straight season since 2023..... nvm the BULLSHIT >_<

A couple years ago I was hit by a car while I was on a bike..... hit and run.......


Two rib fractures later....... a skull fracture...... left under a bridge...... to get ran over by a random guy in the bottom of a dip and bridge unconscious.... and left to die and get ran over....... my body destroyed......... my mind fractured.........


Thankfully the next person who saw me, pulled over to my side and called an ambulance..... and I woke up in a hospital..... with the privilege to continue my life...... and do what I was meant to..... at whatever capacity I could........When I recovered I told myself my biggest fear would be losing my chance at my full potential physically and mentally.......


I went on to get a couple college degrees and do two centuries/hundred miles on my bike and top 100 on my bicycle out of 1000+ participants climbing Mount Glendora with a 25 pound bike from the 80s vs the other dudes with the latest 15 pound carbon fiber bikes......... either with college or sports........mind or body......... I wasn't going to let myself down after the accident...........


Maybe Im not the best...... maybe Im not the smartest guy....... and maybe I havent reached my full potential..... but my potential is a lot higher than I or anyone thought possible........ and I can be glad for that and be glad to still be alive......
