And as said dont mean to be rude but when people or well the average person brings up whatever they have to say about most of what actually happens in the sport...... Nvm what most "experts" have to say which is about as informative as what you get from your average person....... It's rather pedestrian........
And it's hard to explain but as said a team is very much like a car and every team could make that car only so good.
IMO both teams/cars in regards to the Dodgers and Blue Jays were pretty equal in talent, ability, skill etc etc but that isn't what separated the better team from the lesser one IMO.......
What separated the teams were the drivers in the front seat in this case the Team Managers, the coaches and the Front Of House and Analytics dudes that ultimately designed their teams/cars to execute their version of Plan C and their strategy to drive their car/team to the finish line in 1st place......
The Dodgers simply deployed a better strategy and a better Plan C and drove the car/team better from Game 6 going into Game 7 especially with their pitchers and navigating the Ohtani Rule..... A lot of "luck" so to speak happened for both teams..... But ultimately the core strategy was implementing Plan C and your pitchers appropriately..... For the "hook" as Buck Showalter pointed out in Foul Territory.
The extra push that would have been Gausman that never was deployed by the Blue Jays in Game 7..... Became the Dodgers extra push with Yamamoto and Yamamoto and that move pretty much was a deciding factor that gave the Dodgers the extra bump right at the moment they needed to cross the finish line and win the World Series.
Essentially Plan C was limiting use of either teams Bullpen and going for a Blitzkrieg with ones starting pitchers to pierce through and give that extra push at the right moment..... The Dodgers just did it better and fully bought into Plan C 100% with Yamamoto and that's what made them the better team.
It wasn't luck or hope or praying to God or some BS....... It was strategy and strategy wins games!!!!!!
That's why Yamamoto is the World Series MVP and damn well the best pitcher alive...... And IMO what made the difference for the Dodgers in the 2025 World Series.
