I think the guys playing is very unnatural sounding and I don't like it one bit. That's all. I never said I was better, everything I play is great, etc... I just ran across this video and I think it's horrible and thought I'd share.

You had a similar reaction to another clip I posted of some kid with extremely horrible tone... I don't get it.

Wasn't referring to you but rather what came after...like....

now that i've heard it for the second time, something is awkward about that playing, other than the overall sloppiness

That's what you get when people think playing more notes per second is being a better guitarist/musician and try to do it without learning any technique.

but he certainly isn't doing Roland, Fender or Peavey any favors.

I think most of us played like that at some point....then practiced to try to clean it up.

Bottomline, I'm just blown away by the fixation on rudimentary technique I come across on forums. And I've heard plenty of guys that are quick to jusge post stuff that isn't much different in the end. Shit half my stuff is at that level.
I guess I'm just feeling mellow today. Time for a drink!

The weirdest playing I have ever heard was that clip of the guy who supposedly got a Cameron CCV-100 back in March and posted that freaky clip and then took it down. Bizarre playing. I wonder who that really was and what they were using because it sure did not sound like a Cameron.......

Oh, I see. I think we can all agree that "rudimentary" describes my playing style to a T. But in reality, I don't care. I'm not striving to be anything better than I am.

But this guy's style is still weird.

It looks like hes trying to do Chicken pickin, but doesn't really have the proper tones dialed in for it.
