i saw some posts of yngwie pedalboard, he's using his distorsion pedal with all knobs maxed (the newer mxr pedal).. i thought "hm thats weird, i always used distortion pedal with unity volume on a clean channel"..
so i used my mt-2w, maxed the volume, gain at +- half, custom mode).. tried it and loved the tone with either a plexi or a 800 with some gain already going.. the stupid tone every body knows of the mt-2 just dissapear and merge with the amp gain. the amp saturation that care of those nasty spikes.
the amp tone becomes "rounder" instead of "sharper".. i now come to think those distortion pedals where made to be used with a dirty amp.. if they work on the clean channel it's a random thing.
