Is a separate presence control for the clean channel. On the hbe/be modes I put my presence an treble controls the same(a little bit above noon, 12:30).That is where my gain tones are perfection with the right balance of cut and smoothness...but switching to the clean at that presence setting just is not as bright as I would like, especially after hearing what the clean sounds like with the presence cranked. On the clean I have to run the treble high....bright switch set to the right setting....but it is just not enough.
