Well, here is my completed Plexi 51 All Access. Biased up to 35mV. I also played it for a while variac'd down to 90 volts and biased at 50mV. There are so many options to go through, but it sounds killer so far! Thanks to everyone in this group for helping me sort through the issues.

Next up for this amp... Add a switch to adjust the bias for 90 volts and install the Headfirst FET boost.

Nice work Bob, you're on you way to building a nice collection of your own amps brother!

Thanks Jason! I'm trying to decide what's up next. A Cali or a Dirty Shirley. Or possibly something like a Vox for those chimey tones.

Looks like a piece of cake , very very simple . Who am I kidding, I freak out when handling more than one D alkaline battery at a time. Amazing job on your part.

Looks great. That's some big ass iron too

Would love to hear this beast.

Nice job! I like the idea of all the features these have, so you can switch through and combine different "flavors" of Plexi, but I also would probably find one way that I liked best and then never change it.

I'm sooo impressed by you guys who can build amps. . If this was your first amp you've built , man it doesn't look like you picked anything easy!!! I'd LOVE to heard it in action. Post clips please!

Eric

Thanks! This is my 2nd complete build. Before that, I was just modding existing amps. I'm waiting on a PS100 to get some clips recorded.

FWIW, if you've never used one, start with Depth and Presence OFF, then set the switches. Depth and Presence should generally set very low or OFF. It's a bit different than a typical amp Depth and Presence.

Also, setting the switches in the DOWN position (less bass and less highs) is more like a resistive attenuator. Setting both in the UP position is much more reactive but can be too much sometimes. Middle position is somewhere in between.

Thanks for the tips! I'm also looking for some sort of cabsim or IR box for recording and live use, if you have any recommendations.

I plug the PS into 4x12s so I can't help there. I'm so behind the curve on all this cabsim/IR stuff.:m9:

At least for recording, you can skip a box and just use an IR loader VST
