The reason rock music will die

When I was underage in tech school we used to do this but one of the guys was a bad alcoholic and I had to cut him loose and move on. He just kept saying "why?" smh, he couldn't see it. It wasn't a waste though. If you want to improve you have to take playing opportunities when they come to you and a rehearsal is a playing opportunity. Rehearsals and gigs are never convenient but how bad do you want it?

These days I don't play in bands I have my own group so I get to be the boss. I don't do sub work either. I won't even play shit I don't want at a jam I'll just put my guitar away. I even got called a primadonna once, lol.. I figure it's all so much headache I might as well play what I want to play and heck with everything else.

Then there are those kids who just don't care about music. The opposite was in the 70's and 80's:

Steve Lukather in his book said during the hey day of all the hundreds of sessions he did he would get a call and show up not know who's record he was going to play nor who he would be playing with. Arrives to studio to fin 1st call cats who all had basic charts then they would bounce ideas off each other providing crazy inspiration. He went on 'this caused me to hit on an idea which became the solo to'......

Those days are now replaced with a drummer who lives in Vegas, guitar player in Nashville who sends an mp3 scratch track to LA where the singer lives to put his part in then send on to the next guy -or some variation. Plug ins modeler's fake drums ect :poop:

Whelp at least we can say our generation had the best music ever! :m17:
