This is such a simple, but powerful rig. Set up as a W/D rig - the SLO is the dry amp and the Marshall is the wet amp. Guitar into the SLO running dry into 2-412 Bogner's with Scumback M/H 25 watters. Line out from the SLO into the Intellifex and then to the FX return of the Marshall and into the center 412, front loaded V30 cab. The SLO has a level controlled compensated line out, so there is no FX loop to mess with. The Marshall is my John Suhr modded Aldrich, which has a killer loop for the return. Channel changing on the SLO (prefer this) with the stomp and the Intellifex controlled by a Voodoo GC Pro. A few presets programmed into the controller. The VHT power amp is not being used and will come out of the rack. One other cool thing, is that if I happen to lose an amp playing live, the Marshall can be used as the back-up for 100% redundancy. The heads will be racked up in an ATA case soon.

Clips coming later today, but here's a shot......

Aha, after stating for a few weeks that the SLO will be your end it all amp, you are now trying to sneak your way back into other amps, probably thinking it might go unnoticed :D

Killer rig!

Clips with separate mics on the SLO and the Marshall side would be awesome.

The Marshall is a placeholder until the second SLO is finished. It's only using the FX return to the power amp

Dude, coupled with your McNuts this has to be one RIPPIN RIG!!!!

Nice setup, Steve. I am a little bit surprised that you don't have the dry going through the centre cab and then run a stereo wet signal to the two side cabs?.....

That might be, but tell me you are not going to use your second, $3,500 SLO as a "line in" power amp for your wet signal?..... That would be a travesty! You could just use your VHT for that purpose, and it's already in the rack! Then you could have your new SLO re-routed to me to test our for a few, um, years.

I can go several ways, but I really don't care my for a W/D/W set up. I would rather have dry SLO blowing through 2 cabs and center wet for going to FOH. W/D/W is fine for playing some Pink Floyd and some cool echo's and swirly stuff. For the most part though, it doesn't fit with what I play or need. But yeah, its an easy re-rig. I didn't feel like finding somewhere to put the VHT, so left it in the rack. I am so pleased with this set up, that I ordered up an amp rack for the two heads and 4 rack spaces.

Steve

Awesome. And you answered my question I hadn't asked yet, being why not a W/D/W setup. Makes sense.

Sweet set-up but if you retolex the 2 Bogner cabs used with the SLO in red your tone would greatly improve :)

Here's my W/D rig....has changed a little since this picture was taken. I use a Axess Electronics HS2 (Head Switcher) to switch the heads in and out of "DRY" cab. I also use a Suhr ISO-Box for a line out from the HS2 which goes to my Intellifex then the VHT to the "WET" cab.

....Sorry the picture is so BIG!! :)

Kewl shite Mang.....hey, whats the line voltage in Saudi??? Is it 115 or 230? If it's 230 how do you plug in your amps?

Two very nice SLO rigs Steve K and SloGriff, excellent pics!!!!

Wall voltage runs around 125-127V but moves all over the place and plays hell with tubes and bias. Which is why I use a transformer with a regulator to take it down to 110V and plug my rack power conditioner into it. So, I am good.

Damn Steve! Shouldn't you still be in bed? :D

Didn't you just go down like 2 or 3 hours ago?!

It's only 1:00 AM over here. Went and fired up the BBQ and threw some steaks on and had a few adult bevi's. Watched a few episodes of Breaking Bad. About ready to call it a day though.

OH HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To both of yuz, congrats!! Stevie, glad you're still loving the SLO and you've obviously found your happy place with the Boggy cabs. Nice.

Peace and mega congrats!! Sweet ass rigs, gents

Be careful with SLO and the 25w scum backs...if you run one one cab...you could easily blow them. It needs 2 cabs if they are all 25w. Or one cab of 65 waters...sure you already know this but please take it from someone who blew 4 old greenbacks...hooked to a Mohave peacemaker..cranked it for about 30 seconds and they were toasted. I was only trying out the amp and left with 4 blown speakers.
