That seems like a really obvious solution. One of those things you'd think someone would have thought of by now.

I might just put better tuners on my Les Paul now.

Agreed. I'm amazed that no one thought of this before. Seems like it might even add some stability.
Brilliantly simple, simply brilliant.
 
There are a lot of unrealized great ideas waiting to be discovered... This is great!
 
Amazing idea. Anyone know if they're available yet? Can't find them for sale.
