Do they rule at the preposterous prices they are going for? I’ve seen some dude list his for 25k. If I was a multimillionaire I still wouldn’t pay 25k for one of thoseBlackmachines still rule. Not sorry.

Doesn't stop me from liking them.
Ferraris are expensive too, and I cannot afford them, but I can still appreciate them.

If you have not played the Thor, you should shut your dumb mouths. Got it!!? I have had the privilege of playing one and it goes far beyond being an amplifier. I realized when I played the amp that I now harnessed the ability to shoot lightning out of my guitar. I tried it out and accidentally killed a bunch of people. (Didn’t stick around to see but it was MANY people, but I could tell they were like really bad dudes who definitely deserved it so no bad karma for me) I could also direct the lighting to my fingers. Once I figured that out I was able to switch between John petrucci world domination mode and yngwies nuclear Rolex mode. I blazed and schralped so hard that my fretboard started smoking and soon after burst into flames. It didn’t burn me though because I still harnessed the lightning fingers. Soon after, I saw some undesirables and thought, “hmm, why don’t I just murder these sons of bitches?” So, I hit them with such a large blast of lightning that they simply vaporized along with a little red mist. Now the Thor amp (it talks to me) and I are considering more misadventures. I think I’m invincible. This amp is totally worth the price.

Playing with and actually using, touring with are 2 different things also...
Nobody notable tours and gets their main stage tones from a wizard. Maybe 1-2 Larry's are on a stage and kept.
The rest is short lived hype kept alive by cork sniff community.

Some boutique crap is such a scam in that sense for the most part for folks who don't know any better.

Better than hospital overspending- 1000$ for a single advil that the builder needs to take.
Also as a side note, at my first job ever, someone from the procurement team came in to show all of us a screw they bought for 10s of thousands of dollars and was trying to justify it- not military either
