They decided this was enough

John Force's daughter hit 340mph a couple weeks ago at the Charlotte Nationals. New NHRA record.

I can't imagine wanting to go that fast, lol

I've been following the McMurtry Spéirling for a few years.

Now that's a car. Thing can literally drive upside-down, such is the downforce.

I'm tippin' it's not as fast in a straight line as the Koenigsegg but nothing can touch it cornering. Smashed the Goodwood Festival of Speed all-comers record last year. 0-233 km/h (145 mph) in 4.98 seconds and under 8 sec for the 1/4 mile. Definitely not-shabby, but its real strength is in the cornering. It'll wallop an F1 car 'round the track I reckon, probably by some margin. Dunno.

Indeed. I happened upon it when it first came out.

Actually, before that 'cause they were showcasing it before they dumbed it down a bit for commercial release.

IMHO the reason it'd smoke an F1 car is 'cause the latter relies on some sort of speed to attain decent downforce, so every corner that's not 120mph+ will see the Spéirling vanish into the distance.
