I thought Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Godflesh, KMFDM.....all were before them.

Great band though.

Godflesh (and their previous incarnation Fall of Because) were definitely metal, and was a major influence on FF.

for the record, Ministry was doing dance punk industrial until 91' , Fear Factory was started in 89'

Guess I don't know what METAL is. Only been listening to it since I was 9 in 1980. Sorry if I didn't draw a distinction between "dance punk industrial" (whatever that is) and "industrial metal". For me, most of that stuff goes into the same bucket. FWIW, Fear Factory's first album came out in 91'. But, I do agree they are one of the best in this genre, whatever you want to call it.

No doubt Ministry started with a different style, but I'm 176% certain they were doing Industrial metal by the mid 80s. How do I know, I was at those shows. This is long before Fear Factory hit the scene.

Agreed they were not the first.

They are also utterly dreadful.

Coroner was way before this and morphed from thrash to industrial metal before eventually disbanding. Listen to grin or their self titled record. Best under the radar guitarist Tommy T Baron (Vetterli) of that era in my opinion

WORST live shows ever (for the vocalist)... Guitar, bass, drums are all on point... Singer lost it years ago....

Are you sure? I feel like it has a beat and you can dance to it.

But I've got to admit Everyday is Halloween is a killer jam.

What does that even mean?? Since I'm not in a noteworthy successful band (that you know of) my opinion of this shitty band isn't valid?? I've seen/heard some of the garbage you've posted. Based on that your opinion is worth about the same as mine!!!
